Simulator HANDBOOK

Flightscope Info:  More accurate sports measurement systems have resulted in improvements in many aspects of many sports - not only for players, but for spectators too.  One such technological advent is the 3D ball tracking .  This is great for golfers, for example who are looking for a ball tracking monitor or 3D golf radar and a method of golf swing analysis that provides genuinely useful feedback.  If you've been wondering how 3D Doppler tracking works to enhance your game wonder no more.

The secret of Flightscope's 3D ball tracking success lies in the patented phased array tracking technology that is used in the device.  The two main technological aspects of the Flightscope 3D motion tracking device are its radar technology very similar to that which is used in the military and its advanced industrial electronics.

So what does this mean for you in a practical sense.  Well it means you have access to a level of ball measurement and ball tracking that is difficult to beat.

Simulator Playing Tips

Simulator use is booked using an hourly rate, regardless of the number of players.  So, if 4 players take 2 hours to play, the total cost would be 2 hours divided by the four players.  The system will be reserved for a one hour minimum and by 30 minute increments thereafter.  Players will be responsible to pay for the time booked and not the holes played. If you would like to schedule for a hour to practice, you can do so. Games are pre-booked but driving range time is available on a first come first served basis and is not available via pre-booking.m a paragraph.

Time

A foursome should take about 3-4 hours to play 18 holes.  A reminder that since the system is booked by time and not by the number of holes, please be sure to watch the time and try to maintain a pace of play.  The system is booked for a one hour minimum and by 30 minute increments thereafter.  Players will be responsible to pay for the time booked and not the holes played.

Players
Up to 4 players can play at a time on each simulator. Typically playing time is one hour per person playing so be sure to consider that when booking your time.

Accuracy
The system utilizes FlightScope Doppler radar technology, coupled with E6 software to provide a realistic golf experience.  It will accurately read draw, hooks, slices, fades, high shots, low shots and all the other great and not so great shots you may hit during a round. Chip shots need to get approximately 3 feet in the air for the system to register.

Clubs
Bring your own clubs when you come to play.   The system is currently set to putt for you.

Balls
We provide golf balls for you to play with indoors, as they need a special reflective dot on them.  Please only use our golf balls and do not  use any golf ball with pen/sharpie marks on it, as it will mark the screen.  The reflective dot MUST face forward toward the screen – for all shots.

Footwear
Clean footwear is required and golf shoes are not needed.  Running shoes are ideal.
